James M. McDonald Elected as Grand King

At the Grand Convocation of the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Ohio held in Dayton in October, 1998, Right Excellent Companion James M. McDonald was elected as grand master of the 1st Veil. McDonald has served McCutchen Chapter 96 RAM as High Priest and the 7th Capitular District as District Deputy Grand High Priest. McDonald is a retired band director at Upper Sandusky High School and is serving as a substitute teacher.

Two weeks later Diana McDonald was appointed grand organist of the Order of the Eastern Star at the convention in Columbus. In the 85 years it has been in Upper Sandusky Mrs. McDonald is the first member of Warpole Chapter OES to be appointed a grand officer. Mrs. McDonald served Warpole Chapter as Worthy Matron in 1996. She has taught piano in Upper Sandusky for 38 years and gives drum instruction at neighboring schools.

The McDonalds are members of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she accompanies the Children's Choir. She has also been the substitute organist at several local churches.
