The pancake committee voted to donate $2,000 to help defray some medical expenses of Kathy Landversicht. Kathy has been fighting cancer for several years and is undergoing experimental treatment, which has helped greatly. Richard, a member of Warpole Lodge, and his wife, Kathy's expenses have been increasing and can use some financial help. Today we presented an additional $1,500 from the Grand Lodge Charitable Foundation. Thanks to the Grand Lodge and to DDGM Joe Radosy who interviewed Dick and Kathy and helped them receive the Grand Lodge grant. Pictured in center is Bill Sturgeon, Worshipful Master. |
Clarence Racheter collected tickets for us again and reports that we only served 375 this year including 147 walk-ins. Although we served fewer people (only about 10 less than last year), we raised the price of tickets $1. Our donations also increased and we are showing a tidy profit. Thanks to all who helped by working, selling and buying tickets.
